You can subscribe to receive official Civil Defence alerts for different regions in New Zealand (starting with Auckland now, and more regions as they come on in 2015).

On the home tab you’ll see the latest updates in your area, whether it’s updates in an emergency, or community events to ensure our neighbourhoods and communities are prepared.

On the info screen you’ll find out about what to do in any kind of disaster. Read detailed information about the most common disasters, plus some youve never heard of.

Youll also be able to check how well youre prepared for disaster, and find out what you need in your Emergency Survival Kit, and your Getaway Kit.
